MANNING FULTON ATTORNEYS APPOINTED TO INTERNATIONAL LAW AND ESTATE PLANNING COUNCILS OF THE NC BAR ASSOCIATION

RALEIGH, NC – Manning Fulton & Skinner attorney Deborah Hildebran-Bachofen was recently appointed to the NC Bar Association’s International Law & Practice Section Council.  The section serves as an educational, legislative and networking resource for practitioners engaged in cross border issues, sponsors legislation, makes legislative and regulatory recommendations and serves as a liaison to other organizations which promote international trade including the NC Department of Commerce.

In addition, Manning Fulton attorney Sandra M. Clark has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar’s Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Section Council. With more than 1,200 members, the Section sponsors continuing legal education (CLE) programs and services and helps mold the association's legislative agenda for presentation to the N.C. General Assembly.  

Hildebran-Bachofen focuses her practice on corporate, business and estate planning matters.  Active in the business and legal communities, she currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Salvation Army, is a member of the UNC Tax Institute Planning Committee and has recently completed a term serving as Chair of the NC Bar’s Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section.   She has been named in Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, North Carolina Super Lawyers, listed in the Best Lawyers Consumer Guide, and recognized as a Top 50 Female Super Lawyer.  She is the recipient of the 2005 Women in Business Award presented by The Business Journal and the 2005 Women Extraordinaire Award presented by Business Leader Magazine.

Clark has a diversified tax, business, estate planning and probate practice.  Her experience includes matters involving complex tax-saving wealth transfer strategies, advising clients on estate and trust administration, and estate litigation.  She has extensive experience in corporate and business matters and represents clients regarding corporate business plans, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and strategic alliances and corporate reorganizations.  She is the co-editor of the North Carolina Estate Administration Manual.
