Representative Experience
Mike is a member of the firm's litigation section. Clients benefit from his significant experience in the state appellate process, having prosecuted and defended over forty appeals in the past fifteen years. He has argued before the North Carolina Court of Appeals over fifteen times and four times before the North Carolina Supreme Court. His work in the appellate arena has touched upon a variety of areas, including domestic law and adoptions, landlord-tenant relationships, commercial law and contracts, and administrative law. His work has established new precedents particularly in the realm of adoption and domestic law. Mike has represented individuals in domestic relations matters for over eighteen years. He also represents clients in commercial litigation matters, landlord/tenant disputes, and administrative matters.
In over eighteen years of practice, Mike has made court appearances in forty-nine out of North Carolina’s one hundred counties.
Mike has been recognized by Business North Carolina's 2009 Legal Elite in the area of family law.
